Successful Email Campaigning
Are you trying to run an email sales campaign but not having very much luck at it?
Here are five quick tips to help you be more successful:
Tip #1: Keep your email Short: Keep it to within 1/2 – 3/4 of a page.
Tip #2: Keep it Personal, Friendly & Polite: It should sound like you’re talking to your best friend.
Tip #3: Craft your Subject Line: Spend a lot of time on it getting it just right, because if it doesn’t capture their attention then no one’s going to read your email!
Tip #4: Be sure your email has a Specific Call-to-Action: Be explicit in what you want them to do and place it as close to the top of your email as possible.
Tip #5: Measure your Data: Keep track of your open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates. That information will help you understand your email’s performance, and where it might need to be tweaked.
A Few More Analysis Hints:
-
If your Open Rate is low, then you know that your subject line needs more work.
-
If your Open Rate is high, but they aren’t clicking on the link to your salespage (low Click-Through Rate), then the email’s copywriting isn’t convincing and needs to be tweaked.
-
If the Click-Through Rate is high, but no one’s buying (low Conversion Rate), then you need to work on your salespage – it’s not doing its job!
Apply these five tips and watch your email campaigns blossom!
